Harvest Festival and other key events in Long Marston

2nd October 2016 by Qu1nWel2016 Leave a Comment

img_1999This weekend we are celebrating harvest with a flower festival.  The church will be open for people to look round and enjoy cakes and a cuppa from 11.00 to 4.00 Saturday and Sunday, culminating in a celebratory harvest festival on Sunday at 4.00pm.

Our harvest supper is Friday 7th October at Long Marston Village Hall.  Tickets are available from the Poppin costing £12 for adults and £6 for children.  The food is always excellent and the entertainment is being provided by the Vale Connection singers.

A fun day for children will be Halloween in the Hall.  This is happening on Saturday 29th October at 4pm in the Long Marston Village Hall, entry charge 50 pence for children.  Come in fancy dress and bring your carved pumpkin – prizes for the best.  Enjoy crafts and face painting, have a go on the children’s tombola, and enjoy a piece of cake with a cup of tea, squash or mulled wine.

Future events include a jumble sale on 5th November and our Christmas Bazaar on 3rd December.
